Painting is the way I transform my emotions into art. The moment I was placed in front of an easel with a paintbrush in hand was the first time I felt truly connected to anything. I allow my emotional energy to transform into color, softness, texture, and shape. Brushstrokes are extensions of me - each one establishing a connection to my environment.

My inspiration comes from the natural world around us. I see energy and light in the ocean, the trees, the sky. Appreciating these vast marvels of nature brings great perspective. Each breath we take is another rooted in gratitude. The preciousness of our existence is not lost.

My practice has always been spontaneous and full of exploration. I begin each piece with my intuition, choosing colors that spark joy at that moment in time. I create movement with each marking and curiosity with each detail. My paintings embody who I am and who I have been at each stage in my life. The dreamscapes I bring to fruition are unique places of solitude. My goal is to extend this mental escape to my viewers, to provide an opportunity for others to find themselves in these works, much like I have found myself.
